<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and an improved device for treating a body site of slaughtered poultry. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step for making two cutouts in a back side of a body site wherein the cutouts extend in both sides of vertebrae, and the cutouts includes a step for separating a meat of the back part from vertebrae in both the sides of the vertebrae and a step for pulling and separating at least a part of the meat of the back part naturally present on the body site using a scraper, the scraper has a cutting edge 607 with a shape curved to a planar plane substantially vertically extending in a direction of the vertebrae, the curved shape substantially coincide with the back side of the contour of the bone part of the body site where the meat of the back part is needed to be pulled and separated viewing from a direction of the vertebrae, the pulling and separating of the meat of the back side by the scraper is started from the cutouts along the vertebrae, and the body site and the scraper move relative to each other while the meat is pulled and separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
