BPM-BASED PORT COMMUNITY SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a port community system which can integrate and operate a plurality of discrete systems associated with ports. The port community system according to the present invention comprises: an external independent module including one or more of a vessel clearance system (VCS), a marine service system (MSS), a cargo information management system (CMS) and a free trade zone system (Fzone), which are re-engineered so as to integrate different work processes of each port; an interface module which extracts said one or more systems from the external dependent module by means of a web server; a driving module which drives the system extracted by the interface module by means of a business process management (BPM) process engine, and executes a work process of the extracted system; a design module which enables a re-design and modification of the work process of the extracted system by means of a BPM process designer; a database module which stores various port data from the external independent module and from the driving module; and a control module which controls each of said modules. Thus, a single integrated system which can control and carry out various duties associated with ports is provided.
