PURPOSE: A device for a 3D font engine and a method thereof are provided to make a software library or additional hardware of the font engine by eliminating the need to perform 3D rendering operation for control points. CONSTITUTION: A font engine includes a page generating unit(210), a converting unit(220), and a camera projecting unit(230). The page generating unit generates a 3D page. The converting unit applies 3D conversion to control points mapped with the 3D page. The camera projecting unit projects 3D coordinates of the control points according to projection properties inferred from camera settings.
