PURPOSE: A device for preventing a gas stove from over-heating is provided to lower production costs by performing a shaft unit and a polygonal cross-sectional structure for corresponding to the shaft unit in the bottom of a case in a single process. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing a gas stove from over-heating comprises a guide shaft(10), a case, and an anti-rotation unit. The guide shaft comprises a guide unit for supporting the bottom end of a spring and a shaft unit(12). The shaft unit is integrally combined the bottom guide unit with the top end and downwardly extended with the bottom end. The case elastically ascends and descends the guide shaft by covering the circumferential top end of the shaft unit, supporting the bottom guide with the bottom end, covering the outer circumference of the spring and guide shaft, and integrating with a heat collecting plate with the top end. The anti-rotation unit prevents the guide shaft and case from rotating to together. The anti-rotation unit interlocks the shaft unit and the bottom end of the case which corresponds to the shaft unit. The shaft unit and the outer circumference of the bottom case are equipped with polygonal cross-sections.
