摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a winding type electrochemical device capable of realizing to make lithium ion batteries and the like thinner. <P>SOLUTION: A winding type electrochemical device 1 forms an open region 10e and an open region 20e in an area where a positive electrode lead wire 11 and a negative electrode lead wire 21 are opposing to each other via a separator 30, with active material layers on the surface of a current collector 10a and a current collector 20a being removed. The area existing as the open regions, even if an active material layer is formed on the surfaces of the current collectors, does not have a function as a capacitor, because lead wires protected with an insulation tape are arranged on the surfaces opposing to each other via the separator.
