<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for combining analytical and combinatorial processes to compute fault repair of a dead load area. <P>SOLUTION: A system can be operable to receive location and switch information associated with an area of a power grid that has lost power, identify a switch within an area of the power grid that has lost power, compute an AC source capacity (ASC) value for the identified switch, identify and open at least one second switch, compute combinations of the switch with each second switch that satisfies a rule, eliminate redundant switch open or close operations prior to the computation of the dead load area repair plan, and compute a repair plan based at least in part on the computed combinations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
