The present invention relates to a milk sampling apparatus comprising a milk sampling box (1) provided with walls (1 a, 1 b, 1 c) forming an inner space configured to receive milk sample collecting elements (8), milk sampling equipment (9-15) configured to fill the milk sample collecting elements (8) with milk samples and a support element (5) configured to be placed on a floor surface and to support the milk sampling box (1) in a support position at a height above the floor surface when milk samples are taken. The support element (5) has a design adapted to make it attachable to the milk sample box (1), so that the milk sample box (1) and the support element (5) in a transport position forms a transportable unit.
