The motor vehicle seat (1) has a backrest (3) folded on a seat part (2), a lever system (7) with a lever (8) which is connected at its upper end over a pivot point (10) with an end of the seat part. The motor vehicle seat is lowered in a cavity (6) near the backrest by the lever system such that the rear side (3.1) of the backrest faces upward. Another lever (13) is provided in the both sides of the seat part and is connected with the former lever between its both ends over another pivot point (14).
