The method involves bringing a fiber material (5) into a cavity (6) of a molding tool (2), and injecting a matrix material i.e. thermosetting polymer, into the cavity under infiltration of the fiber material. Temperatures of independent zones of the cavity are increased independent of viscosity of the matrix material with respect to average temperature of the cavity during introduction of the matrix material into the cavity. The viscosity is matched with a course of flow front and/or hardening characteristics of the matrix material in the appropriate zones. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a composite component.
