PURPOSE: A security method using voice and a device thereof are provided to receive a password through voice and control a specific operation corresponding to the password, thereby effectively inputting the password through the voice. CONSTITUTION: A counter circuit(30) calculates input duration time of voice inputs which are inputted at time intervals through a voice input unit(20-1). An input pattern extraction module(32) extracts first pattern information corresponding to the length of the input duration time for the voice inputs. A comparison module(36) compares the first pattern information with second pattern information stored in a memory. A password registration unit registers the second pattern information. The password registration unit controls a host corresponding to the comparison result of the comparison module.
