PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element which exhibits high luminous efficiency and has a long emission life.

SOLUTION: Disclosed is the organic electroluminescent element which comprises an anode 107 and a cathode 105 on a support substrate and in which an organic EL layer 106 including one or more light-emitting layers is disposed between the anode 107 and the cathode 105. At least one of the light-emitting layers of the organic EL layer 106 contains a specific compound.
