<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or restrain a (flashing) phenomenon of changing instantaneously the brightness of a screen. <P>SOLUTION: An embodiment has a pixel circuit 3(i, j) including a light emitting diode (OLED), a driving transistor Md and a holding capacitor Cs, and a drive signal generating circuit (horizontal pixel line driving circuit 41) for generating a control signal (electric power source driving pulse DS) for driving the pixel circuit 3(i, j). The horizontal pixel line driving circuit 41 generates the electric power source driving pulse DS having a second level (medium potential Vcc_M) for specifying a period (light emission stop processing period (LM-STOP)) for stopping light emission not inverse-biasing the OLED, a first level (low potential Vcc_L) for specifying a processing period of inverse-biasing the OLED at a level lower than the medium potential Vcc_M, and a third level (high potential Vcc_H) higher than the medium potential Vcc_M and for specifying a light emission permitting period, so as to be supplied to the pixel circuit 3(i, j) pixel circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
