摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide type voltage sensor for accurately measuring voltage with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A core section 12 of an optical waveguide type voltage sensor 10 includes electrodes 16 and 17 to which voltage of a circuit 18 to be measured is applied. A second refraction index n2 of the core section 12 is larger than a first refraction index n1 of a transparent clad section 11 for covering an outer peripheral section of the core section 12 and light made incident on the core section 12 is capable of transmitting in the core section 12. The core section 12 is formed by a material having a Pockels effect and when the voltage of the circuit 18 to be measured is applied to the electrodes 16 and 17, the light in the core section 12 transmits the clad section 11 and leaks to the outside by the Pockels effect.
