<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine capable of reducing the size of an underground obstacle by shaving the underground obstacle and treating the underground obstacle together with mud by taking the underground obstacle into the shield machine. <P>SOLUTION: In a shield machine 1, a front part of a skin plate 2 is provided with a rotatively-driven cutter plate 3, and a cutter bit 10 for excavation is provided on the front surface of the cutter plate 3. A large number of cutting bits 11 for shaving an underground obstacle are provided on the front surface of the cutter plate 3 in such a manner as to be arranged in a spiral pattern around the rotational axis of the cutter plate 3 as a center. The cutting bits 11 are arranged in such a manner that a cutting edge 11a of the cutting bit 11 protrudes forward with respect to a cutting edge 10b of the cutter bit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
