[Problem] To detect smoke precisely and rapidly, and to rapidly identify a location where a fire has occurred. [Solution] This suction-type smoke sensing system is provided with: piping that draws in air from a region for inspection; a photoelectric smoke sensor that when air from the region for inspection is drawn in, senses the presence of smoke in said air; and a controller that draws in air from the region for inspection, and by electrically connecting to the photoelectric smoke sensor, receives and processes a detection signal. The photoelectric smoke sensor is provided with: a smoke sensing section that senses smoke in the air drawn in; a suction opening provided at an air inflow side of the smoke sensing section, said suction opening directly drawing in air from the region for inspection and being fitted into a base end portion of a suction pipe that extends to the region for inspection; and fitting openings provided at air outflow sides of the smoke sensing section, said fitting openings fitting into the end portion of the piping. |
