The light has a socket-like horizontal projection (13) provided below a through-hole of an adapter (2). A cover (4) is provided on an outer side of the adapter in an extension of a LED illuminant (1) such that the cover comprises a nose (14) at a lower side in a middle region for engagement into a recess of the adapter. The nose covers only an outer side of the recess and sets the recess free at an interior of the adapter as a wire guide. The cover comprises a recess in two outer regions, where the recess is associated to the projection in the two outer regions of the adapter for engagement.
