<p>This ultrasound diagnostic device is provided with: a transmission pulse generator for applying a drive pulse output signal to an ultrasonic vibrator to insonify with ultrasound; and a trigger signal generator for generating a trigger signal for controlling the transmission pulse generator to cause the drive pulse output signal to be outputted. During a predetermined period of time after completion of a drive period of the ultrasonic vibrator, the trigger signal generator adds to the trigger signal a plurality of trigger pulses for performing control to gradually attenuate the amplitude of an ultrasonic vibrator output signal created in accompaniment with the completion of the drive period. This configuration makes it possible to suppress free vibration of the ultrasonic vibrator in a transient response, while the quantity of circuitry parts is kept to a minimum.</p> |
