<p>PURPOSE: A byproduct collecting method is provided to reduce production costs by recycling BaCO3(Barium Carbonate) as a dephosphorization material and to prevent environmental pollution by collecting BaCO3 from slag which is generated during a dephosphorization process. CONSTITUTION: A byproduct collecting method comprises the following steps: a step of soaking slag into a solvent to elute Ba from the slag(S110); a step of separating the Ba eluted solution and the residue(S120); a step of evaporating the solution under a CO2 gas atmosphere or the air which contains CO2, and subsequently reacting Ba in the solution with CO2 to produce BaCO3(130); and a step of collecting BaCO3(140). The slag is produced in the process of the dephosphorization of ferromanganese using a dephosphorization material which contains Ba. A process of crushing slag is prior to the process of soaking slag into the solvent. The solvent is water. A process of eluting Ba is performed for 1 to 168hours. In a process of eluting Ba, the soaked slag in solvent is stirred. Ba(OH)2 and CO2 react and produce BaCO3 while the solution is evaporated.
