<p>Vulcanizable composition comprises (a) at least one epoxy group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of at least 20 wt.%, preferably at least 40 wt.%, based on the epoxy group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and (b) at least one carboxylated nitrile rubber. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing the vulcanizable composition, comprising mixing the epoxy group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with the carboxylated nitrile rubber; (2) producing a vulcanizate based on epoxy group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers, comprising crosslinking the vulcanizable composition by raising the temperature to 20-250 deg C, preferably 100-210 deg C; and (3) the vulcanizate produced by the above method.</p> |
