<p>The device for treating fatty substances used in the foodstuffs industry comprises a rotary drum turning on the shaft of an electric motor carried on an inclined pedestal. The body includes a hopper for charging the fatty material into the drum. Mobile blades, integral with the drum, effect the preliminary mincing and the regular distribution of the raw material in the drum. To reduce the material to the desired fineness, fixed blades are located near the internal cylindrical surface of the drum. Steam is injected into the enclosure formed by the body and the rotating drum while the treated fat, after mincing and melting, is evacuated from the machine. The device is simple and its cost is low. It provides in one machine the mincing of the raw material the melting of the fat and the decantation of the fatty material.</p> |
