PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing ferritic stainless steel with good surface quality is provided to save manufacturing cost by enhancing the real yield of titanium of ingot steel and enhance surface quality by restricting the generation of inclusion in the ingot steel. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing ferritic stainless steel with good surface quality comprises next steps. Ferritic stainless steel is put into an electrical furnace, an AOD mixer and a VOD mixer. Before the ingot steel is deoxidized in the VOD mixer, the basicity of the slag component of the ingot steel is adjusted to be within 0.8~1.0. The ferritic stainless steel contains Cr of 10~30weight%, C of 500ppm or less, Ti of 0.1weight% or more. The concentration of the TiO2 in the slag is adjusted to have 5~10weight%. The basicity of the slag component is the ratio of CaO and Al2O3. |
