PURPOSE: A wooden sign including a lighting control unit and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to supply natural and friendly feelings by expressing the intrinsic texture and pattern of wood. CONSTITUTION: A surface light emitting body(300) emits light through one or more sides. A wood grain pattern is formed on the front surface of a wooden panel(100). An accepting groove(120) is formed on the rear surface of the wooden panel. The surface light emitting body is inserted into the accepting groove. A punched portion(130) exposes the surface light emitting body. A light transmitting block(110) penetrates the light. The accepting groove is filled with a waterproof layer(400) to seal the surface light emitting body.
