In an arrangement for preventing the slipping or spinning of the driving wheels of a motor vehicle, the wheels being driven through a transmission from an I.C. engine, a pulse transmitter 16 is associated with said transmission and is selectively connectible, depending on whether positive or negative acceleration is present, with a correction element 24 associated with linkage between an operating means and a control element, such as a throttle valve, of the engine to reduce engine power if a predetermined acceleration is exceeded or with a brake slip control means 21 to limit maximum deceleration. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1 the pulse transmitter 16 is connected through the middle contact 18 of a change-over switch relay 10 to the brake slip control means 21 unless an accelerator pedal is operated thereby closing a switch 14 and energizing the relay 10 to connect the middle contact 18 and the pulse generator 16 to the correction element 24. Alternatively the switch 14 may be actuated by a brake pedal. In further alternatives (Figs. 2, 3) not shown the relay is replaced by a pendulum operated change-over switch to selectively connect the pulse transmitter to the correction element or the brake slip control means. |
