Antirheumatic, antideafness extract of ashes of the ash-tree

Therapeutic compsn. contg. as active ingredient an extract of ashes of the ash-tree, useful in treating rheumatism and deafness. The bark and wood of the ash-tree is burnt, the ash is ground, sieved and treated with alcohol to give the active compsn. An antirheumatic composition contains the ash/alcohol mixture, sugar and a fine mash of boiled cabbage leaves, the whole being homogenized to give a paste.
