PURPOSE: An apparatus for fabricating a backlight unit and a method thereof are provided to prevent misalignment of a fluorescent member and a light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: An alignment part(210) is connected to a transport unit. An alignment part includes an absorbing unit(212) for an optical unit or a fluorescent member. The guide part(215) of the absorbing unit guides the fluorescent member or the optical unit. The guide part arranges the fluorescent member or the optical unit.
