A coupling device and an imaging apparatus adopting the same are provided to compact the entire composition and enhance durability by automatically releasing coupling when external force is not provided and disposing components on a single axis. A shaft is installed in a frame(100) for performing rotation and axis-direction motion. A coupling knob(120) is rotatably combined to the frame, and is rotated on the same axis as the shaft to be independent of the shaft by external force. A coupling link(130) is combined to the frame to be movable in an axis direction of the shaft. The coupling link is interlocked to the rotation of the coupling knob and is moved in the axis direction. Coupling units(141,145) are combined and rotated with the shaft. The coupling units are interlocked to the motion of the coupling link and are moved between a coupling position and a coupling release position in the axis direction of the shaft. An elastic member(150) elastically biases the coupling units to the coupling release position. |
