PURPOSE: A multipurpose structure and a building having the same is provided to hygienically process excrement of a companion animal in an independent space from a bath room for a user, to obtain safe evacuation facility for residents in case of a fire, and to rapidly discharge the smell of the companion animal excrement and cigarette smoke to the outside. CONSTITUTION: A multipurpose structure comprises a main body(10), a fire door(100), a toilet bowl(200), a ventilation device(300), a smoke shield(140), a water valve(400), a drain(500), and a transparent window(600). The fire door is opened and is closed for people and companion animals to freely enter a space(11) of the main body. The toilet bowl is installed on the bottom surface of the space, is able to accommodate the excrement of the companion animals when the space is opened, and includes cover parts(220, 230) in the upper part for forming the same surface with the bottom surface of the space when the space is closed. The ventilation device is installed on the upper part of the space and compulsorily discharges air to the outside. The smoke shield is installed between the upper part of the fire door and the ceiling of the main body. The water valve is installed in the one side wall of the space and is connected to a cleansing water supply pipe for cleaning the bottom surface of the space. The drain is connected to a drain pipe in order to discharge the cleansing water which is supplied in the bottom surface of the space. The transparent window is installed in one side wall of the space and provides a view function.
