A child seat includes an upper surface 102 adapted to receive a child in a sitting position, and a surrounding sidewall 104 having a top connected with the upper surface. The upper surface includes a plurality of perforations 110. The surrounding sidewall is formed integrally with the upper surface, and the surrounding sidewall and the upper surface at least partially delimit an inner cavity below the upper surface. Also claimed is a method of fabricating such a childseat by injecting a plastic material into a mold. The surrounding sidewall may include at least one hollow portion enclosed in a material thickness of the surrounding sidewall. The childseat is thought to have improved elastic and cushioning properties. |
