<p>The basic carrier is covered with a thermoplastic adhesive, after it has been treated with a synthetic resin or cellulose material, and a paper covering of the same width is applied so that the laminate can be pressed together and cured. The resin develops into a thin film which prevents the adhesive spoiling the visual effect when used to clad furniture, walls or doors. The addition of granules or a surface roughening process allows porosity for air and steam.</p> |
