This disclosure discloses a printer (1) configured to perform desired printing on a print-receiving medium (S) wound around a predetermined axis (k) into a roll shape, comprises a substantially box-shaped housing (100) constituting a printer contour; a partition wall (R) that partitions an internal structure of the housing (100) into a first area (P) positioned on a first side along a first direction orthogonal to the axis (k), and a second area (Q) positioned on a second side opposite to the first side along the first direction; a control substrate (170) provided to the first area (P); a medium storage chamber (161) configured to store the print-receiving medium (S) and provided to the second area (Q); an opening/closing lid (101B) provided to the housing (100) so as to open and close between an open position and a closed position and to expose the medium storage chamber (161) to the outside; and a print processing mechanism (MU) configured to perform desired printing while feeding the print-receiving medium (S) supplied from the medium storage chamber (161) based on control from a control substrate (170).
