1352379 Injection moulding BURNDY CORP 19 April 1971 [12 March 1970] 23893/71 Heading B5A [Also in Division E2] A bundling strap comprises a slotted head 11 from which extends a toothed strap portion 12 adapted to be passed into the slot 14 from one side thereof, the slot accommodating a pawl 15 interengageable with the strap portion so as to prevent its withdrawal and capable of flexing about a neck 35 by which it is joined to one wall of the slot, the pawl and said one wall having surfaces 30, 29 which together define a recess 28 opening towards said one side, and the recess 28 is formed by providing the mould which makes the strap with a core 25 that moves in and out of the mould along a line 26. In the construction shown the pawl has three teeth 16, 17, 18 which engage successively as the pawl is tilted by the strap portion.
