摘要 PURPOSE: A journal bearing assembly for a turbocharger is provided to reduce noise and vibration, and to absorb shocks generated when a projection is connected to a groove. CONSTITUTION: A journal bearing assembly for a turbocharger comprises a bearing housing(100), a shaft(200), a journal bearing(300), a support member(400), and a contact surface(500). The journal bearing is formed between the shaft and the inside of a hole in order to prevent the shaft from vertically moving. The support member supports the side of the journal bearing. A projection is formed on one side of the contact surface, and a groove corresponding to the projection is formed on the other side of the contact surface. The rotary speed of the journal bearing is reduced while the projection is connected to the groove.
