The electric motor has a motor housing (1) and a frequency inverter housing (6) that produces heat during operating the motor. A fluid-guiding channel circuit (14) connects an interior of the motor housing with an interior of the inverter housing. A rotor (3) produces flow of fluid such as gas i.e. air, and liquid, in the channel circuit. A running wheel is placed on a rotor shaft (4) for producing the fluid flow in the channel circuit along an outer side of the motor housing and/or the inverter housing. Grooves or channels are provided in a stator (2) and/or the rotor. The motor housing and the housing have a common housing wall. |
