BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display using the same are provided to simplify the structure of a backlight unit by using an optical diffraction film. CONSTITUTION: A light source(100) is installed in a bottom cover. A wedge-shaped light guide plate(200) receives light through a light entry face. The wedge-shaped light guide plate condenses the light. An optical diffraction film(300) disperses the light emitted from the wedge-shaped light guide plate to the total viewing angle region of the liquid crystal panel(400).
