<p>PURPOSE: An over-current preventing device is provided to detect over-charging and over-discharging by applying a hall sensor to a sensor for detecting current. CONSTITUTION: A current sensor(110) converts input current into voltage signal before outputting. The current sensor is selected from a hall sensor, a current transformer, and a resistor. An over-current sensing unit(120) is driven according to the voltage signal outputted at the current sensor. A over-current determining unit(130) generates a switching unit driving signal. The switching unit driving signal determines a logic level according to the duration time of the outputted signal of the over-current sensing unit.
