PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to control a holography operation corresponding to the generation of a trigger event. CONSTITUTION: A holography storage medium records an interference pattern generated by an interference phenomenon of light. When one event is generated among a plurality of trigger events, a holography module(156) outputs a holography image according to the control by a control unit(180). The holography image is generated by a diffraction phenomenon and the interference pattern of the light irradiated in the holography storage medium. The control unit controls the holography module in order to output the holography image corresponding to one or more holography patterns.
