<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery enabling reliable low-resistance welding between a lid and a lead in connecting an upper current collecting plate to a sealing body (lid) through leads, having reliable low resistance by a further small current between the leads and the upper current collecting plate and excelling in an output characteristic; to provide its manufacturing method; and to provide a battery pack having reliable low resistance and excelling in an output characteristic by connecting a plurality of the batteries to one another. <P>SOLUTION: In this sealed battery, the inner face of the lid 50 closing a jar 60 of the sealed battery is connected to the upper face of the upper current collecting plate 2 through the leads 40 and 44. The sealed battery is characterized in that after one face of the lead 40 is welded to the inner face of the lid 50, the other face of the lead 44 is welded to the upper face of the upper current collecting plate 2. This battery pack composed of a plurality of the sealed batteries and this manufacturing method of the battery pack are characterized in that, by carrying an A.C. pulse into at least one of the sealed batteries constituting the battery pack by an external power source, the terminal of the battery is welded to the terminal of the battery adjacent to it directly or through a battery-to-battery connection component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
