1,245,137. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. SPERRY RAND Ltd. Dec.18, 1969 [Dec.24, 1968], No.61263/68. Heading G3P. An electro-hydraulic servovalve in which the movement of a flow controlling element 30 is effected indirectly through the movement of a spring-loaded flapper 32, is characterized in that the flapper 32 is carried and moves internally within the flow control element 30. Fluid flows from an inlet 48 to diverging orifices 44, chambers 40, 42 and, with the valve in the position shown, through both flappers, nozzles 36, 38, passages 54 and exhausts 56. Upon actuation of the electric motor 20 the armature 18 moves to the left or right according to the current direction and in so doing moves the valve members 32a of the pilot valves. Due to the unequal fluid-pressures in chambers 40, 42 the spool 30 moves and so opens one of the outlets 58.
|
