Ironing station with a steam unit

The station (1) has an ironing board (2) with a foldable frame, which is arranged at a column (4) with a steam generator (5) for a smoothing iron. A removable water tank (6) is arranged in the column for feeding the steam generator. A water filter is incorporated in a docking port for the water tank and provided upstream to the steam generator. A detachable cap element is arranged on the docking port. The cap element is used as a tool for removing the water filter and a sealing ring from the docking port. The cap element is integrally manufactured from a plastic part.
