摘要 |
A process for steam reforming hydrocarbons boiling below 220 DEG C., comprises use of a ratio of 1 to 7 moles of steam per carbon atom in the feed, a temperature of 200 DEG to 1000 DEG C., a pressure of 0 to 50 atmospheres gauge and a catalyst comprising 5 to 50% of Mi as metal or oxide promoted with Cu-Cr or Cu-Cr-Mn on an inorganic support. If desired, the catalyst may be oxidized, reduced and reoxidized. The hydrocarbon feed preferably has 2 or more C per mol. liquefied petroleum gas or naphtha. The product preferably contains at least 10% CH4.ALSO:A reforming catalyst containing 5-50% Ni and/or NiO, up to 10% of Cu-Cr or Cu-Cr-Mn oxide promoter on a carrier is made conventionally e.g. by impregnation with appropriate soluble salts followed by heat decomposition, shaped and thereafter treated (1) with an oxidative atmosphere at 200-400 DEG C. (2) a reductive atmosphere at 350-500 DEG C. and (3) an oxidative atmosphere at 100-200 DEG C. Additionally the catalyst may contain an alkali or alkaline earth metal oxide, e.g. Na, K, Ca or Mg. The preferred support is Kieselguhr, but mention is also made of Al2O3-SiO2-CaO supports. |
