PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce manufacturing costs by removing a diffusion sheet and a bottom case. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting diode package(337) includes light emitting diodes. A backlight unit(330) includes the light emitting diode package. The backlight unit is arranged behind a liquid crystal panel(320). A rear cover(420) is arranged behind a liquid crystal display device module(310). The rear cover is connected to the light emitting diode package through connection members(440).
