PURPOSE: A wireless local area communication method and a device thereof are provided to automatically perform a bypass call connection operation through a network if a call is not continuously connected. CONSTITUTION: In case a measurement value is less than a predetermined threshold value, a call switching unit requests a call switch to a portable terminal(S40). The portable terminal transfers the received call switch request to an intercom supporting unit. The intercom supporting unit connects a call to the other portable terminal(S50). A control unit controls intercom between a wireless local area communication device and the other device(S60).
