PURPOSE: A method for measuring biochemical oxygen demand(BOD) by the quantitative and qualitative analysis of organic materials is provided to obtain dissolved organic carbon(DOC), fluorescence property, and UV absorbance. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring BOD by the quantitative and qualitative analysis of organic materials comprises: a step of performing the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the organic materials in water(S100); a step of calculating correlation equation based on the the quantitative and qualitative analysis(S110); a step of storing the calculated correlation equation(S120); a step of measuring variables of water quality(S130); and a step of determining BOD by applying the variables into the stored correlation equation. The variables include DOC, conductivity, fluorescence property, and UV absorbance.
