PURPOSE: An ontology-based voice recognition search system and a method thereof are provided to improve the accuracy of voice search by returning a search result corresponding to a voice recognition database built based on the situation analysis of a user. CONSTITUTION: A first space(411) stores ontology related to time information, a historical fact, place-related information, objects or concepts, and cases. A second space(412) stores ontology defining knowledge for determining a situation of a user by referring to the ontology of the first space. An application(43) provides a service for the user based on an inference result delivered from an inference engine(42). The inference engine delivers the inference result inferred based on the ontology of the second space to the application while interfacing the second space and the application.
