ARTIFICIAL SALIVA COMPRISING EXTRACTED YAM MUCILAGE

PURPOSE: Artificial saliva containing a Chinese yam extract is provided to effectively prevent and treat xerostomia. CONSTITUTION: Artificial saliva contains a Chinese yam extract as an active ingredient. The Chinese yam extract contains 1.0-1.5 mg/ml of protein and 0.9-1.1 mg/ml of carbohydrate. The artificial saliva is used for preventing and treating xerostomia. The artificial saliva is also used for preventing and treating complications due to reduction of saliva secretion.
