PURPOSE: A performance improvement method of an encryption system and a device thereof are provided to generate encryption data with higher encryption level than the existing encryption system based on ECC(Error Correction Code), having stronger properties for the external attacks than the existing encryption system by puncturing or repeating a part of encoded data, and to efficiently generate/restore encryption data in an encryption system based on ECC. CONSTITUTION: An encryption device encrypting data based on ECC includes the following parts: a converter(310) converting data to be encrypted using an arbitrary encryption function; an encoder(320) generating code words by performing ECC encoding processes for the converted data; a puncturing part(340) puncturing arbitrary data out of converted data included in the code words; a repetition part(340) repeating the entire or a part of the punctured code words outputted from the puncturing part; an interleaving part(350) interleaving the punctured code words; and an error generator(360) inserting errors into the interleaved code words.
