PURPOSE: A single core network tap capable of monitoring a single core network is provided to select an arbitrary wavelength among different wavelengths, thereby providing a wavelength signal of the output for a network port to a monitoring system. CONSTITUTION: A first WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical device(150) delivers a second WDM single wavelength signal branched from a second optical coupler to a first network port. A second WDM optical device(160) filters a second WDM wavelength signal into a second WDM single wavelength signal. The second WDM optical device delivers a first WDM single wavelength signal branched from a first optical coupler to a secondary network port. A first analyzer port(170) provides a first WDM single wavelength signal branched from a first optical coupler to a monitoring system. A second analyzer port(180) provides a second WDM single wavelength signal branched from a second optical coupler to the monitoring system.
