<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that degradation or breakage can occur if it is decided that multiplex signal light is selectively received depending on wavelength of local oscillation light, relating to a coherent optical reception device. <P>SOLUTION: The coherent optical reception device includes a coherent optical receiver which collectively receives multiplex signal light in which signal light having different wavelength each other are multiplexed by the number of wavelengths, a local oscillator which is connected to the coherent optical receiver and outputs local oscillation light that interferes with at least one signal light in the multiplex signal light, and a control part which is connected to the coherent optical receiver and the local oscillator. The coherent optical receiver includes a photodetecting part that receives a part of the multiplex signal light, a 90-degree hybrid circuit, and a photoelectric converter. The 90-degree hybrid circuit is supplied with the multiplex signal light and the local oscillation light, and outputs the interference signal light available by causing the multiplex signal light to interfere with the local oscillation light, to the photoelectric converter. The control part controls output of the local oscillator based on a current conversion efficiency of the coherent optical receiver which is derived from an output of the photodetecting part and the output of the photoelectric converter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
