<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy conductor having sufficient conductivity and tensile strength, and excellent in bending fatigue resistance characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy wire has an alloy composition comprising 0.01 to 1.5 mass% of Fe, 0.01 to 1.2 mass% of Mg, and 0.01 to 1.2 mass% of Si with the balance comprised substantially of Al and of inevitable impurities, and satisfies such conditions that the distribution density of a needle-shaped precipitate of Mg<SB POS="POST">2</SB>Si is from 10 to 200 pieces/μm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, tensile strength is lower than 240 MPa, and tensile elongation at break is at least 10%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
