<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resolution of an estimated angle of a rectangular wave drive brushless motor by only altering the logic of a motor control device without adding any modifications to the motor, thereby making it possible to drive the motor with a sinusoidal wave. <P>SOLUTION: In a control unit 3 of a motor control device, a pattern conversion part 12 determines a pattern number corresponding to a combination of values of rotation position signals U, V and W which are out of phase by 2π/3 rad each according to the pattern information stored in a pattern information retention part 11. An angular velocity calculation unit 15 calculates the angular velocity of a rotor per sample time from time intervals between a rise to the next rise of one rotation position signal. An intermittent angle calculation unit 13 multiplies the pattern number by π/3 rad to calculate an intermittent angle, and a continuous angle calculation part 18 adds the angular velocity to the intermittent angle every sample time to make it a continuous angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
